Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 5:30 pm – 7:45 pm (divided sessions). This event is open to residents of Dublin and their guests. Each dog attending must have an adult (18 years or older) with them at all times.

You must be in control of your dog at all times, and they must be off leash when in the water. Spectators are free and welcome to enjoy this howling good time.

Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 6-8 pm. Grab your dog, your camera and his/her favorite fetch toy, towel & leash and head to the outdoor water park for an evening of fun. Humans are not permitted in the pool.

Registrants must provide up to date dog vaccination records to be admitted. If you do not want to wait in line, register in advance at the Groveport Recreation Center.

Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 11 am – 2 pm. Bring your pooch to the pool for a special swim time for dogs. All dogs are required to have proof of license and immunizations.

TBA for 2022. Bring your furry friend to our annual end-of-year dog swim at Clyde “Butch” Seidle Community Pool. For the health and safety of the dogs, the pool is not chlorinated and therefore owners are not permitted in the water. 4450 Schirtzinger Road

Admission is $5 per dog. Owners must sign a safety waiver to participate.

Is it okay for dogs to swim in a pool?

It is ok for your dog to swim in a pool a salt water and chlorine pool. It is a good idea to rinse them after they swim. You should watch for any skin or ear issues if you are swimming in a pool frequently.

How long should your dog swim in a pool?

How long your dog swims in a pool will depend on the purpose, fitness, and age. If your dog is doing pool therapy the sessions will be relatively short as it will be exhausting. If your dog is a healthy and fit youthful dog then swimming in the pool can be as long as your pup wants to play and swim provided they are not getting to tired and have a clear way out of the pool or place they can rest in the pool. Most dogs to not swim regularly so it is important to watch if they are getting tired which may be hard to see if they are really excited about swimming.

Do I need to wash my dog after the pool?

You should wash your dog after a swim in a pool. The chlorine and other chemicals can cause skin irritation and at the very least a rinse would be important to remove the chemicals and prevent your dog getting irritated skin.
